11 Weeks

We received our next lot of images and when we opened them we both got very emotional. More so than at any other stage of this journey. We were a little worried that having all of this information so early on in the pregnancy would make the pregnancy seem very long after being told this by a few people. But if this is the feeling you get when ever something comes through from India then I hope it is the longest pregnancy ever.

I was talking about this with my sister in law this weekend and said that it was a little hard because all of the action was happening on another continent. That we could not see the "bump" and would not feel the babies kicking. So these emails are fairly precious to us. I also said that I was concerned that we would not have the chance to bond. Mothers bond with a baby while carrying them and Dad's can always talk to the baby. Janine said not to worry, that we would make up for it when the babies finally arrive. In a way we are also lucky that we will have 4 weeks to bond while we are waiting to bring the babies home. We will have nothing else to do but bond with them.

I also want to mention a special mate of mine. He has been through what we are going through and often jokes that his 18 year sentence is almost up. But he has been very supportive and always seems to have the right thing to say. I know he reads this so hopefully this will earn a few browny points!! lol. J.
